Rehabilitation Programs

We offer the following rehabilitation programs:

Arthritis
For many people the pain of osteoarthritis can become so severe that it disrupts normal living. Caring for yourself becomes difficult, and handling family or work responsibilities may become impossible. HealthSouth's arthritis rehabilitation program helps an individual reduce and manage their pain while increasing their independence.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
AAC is utilized by individuals with severe communication disorders for whom gestural, speech and/or written communication is temporarily or permanently inadequate to meet their communication needs. When a patient is having difficulty communicating verbally, an AAC evaluation can help determine appropriate communication aids for the individual. This may be a low tech solution, such as a picture communication book or a high tech computerized speech generating device. Our HealthSouth therapists will evaluate patients to determine the most appropriate communication tool, then train the patient and caregivers on its use.
